Adam Lebowitz

Adam Lebowitz has been living in Japan since 1991 and teaches English at the University of Tsukuba. His recent articles in Japan Focus have concerned educational issues, in particular the impact of changes to the Basic Law of Education on primary and secondary curriculae. He contributes Japanese poetry to the literary monthly Shi to Shiso (Poetry and Thought), and when not attending to housework and child-rearing, practices the shamisen.  He is a Japan Focus associate.
